Various icing and frosting on cup cakes..

Icing, also called frosting in the United States,
is a sweet , creamy glaze made of sugar with
a liquid such as water or milk, that is often enriched with ingredients such as butter, egg whites, cream cheese, or flavorings and is used to cover or decorate baked goods, such as cakes or cookies.
Icing can be formed into shapes such as flowers and leaves using a pastry bag.
Sprinkles, coloring mist, edible images or other decorations are often used on top of icing.
Icing can be applied with a utensil such as a knife or spatula, or it can be applied by drizzling or dipping  or by rolling the icing out and draping it over the cake.

A Simple butter cream  frosting  is made by creaming together butter, margarine or vegetable shortening, and powdered sugar to the desired consistency and lightness. Small quantities of whole eggs, egg whites, egg yolks, or milk may be included. Flavorings, in the form of extracts or oils, may also be added.
A ICING RECIPE..
In a double boiler mix,  10 tbsp of chocolate chips, 3 tablespoons butter,
1 tablespoon light corn syrup,  few drops of  vanilla essence, until chocolate melts and use warm over cup cakes or a cake.
What is a corn syrup..
TIP: ' Corn syrup'  is used in foods to soften texture, add volume, prevent crystallization of sugar, and enhance flavor. If light corn syrup is not available, you can substitute, it with a sugar syrup made from
1-1/4 cups sugar and 1/3 cup water,
boiled until thickens.

Another recipe for a icing.
1 cups butter at room temperature,
4 cups icing sugar, 1 cup cocoa powder,
few drops of vanilla essence, 10 tbsp milk.
Beat all until smooth and add milk to needed consistency.

Another creamy cheesy icing..
10 spoons of creamy cheese spread,
5 spoons butter, 1\2 cup icing sugar,
1 spoon cream, few drops vanilla essence,
10 spoons of dessicated coconut,
Beat all together. Apply on the cup cakes.
