what are mushrooms..

ARE MUSHROOM'S PLANTS...? ?
They are  'Fungi,'  which include mushrooms, molds, and mildews, are not really plants.
They have no real roots, leaves, or stems, and contain no chlorophyll with which to make their own  food.  "Mushroom" describes a variety of gilled fungi, with or without stems, a mushroom is the fleshy, spore-bearing fruiting body of a fungus, typically produced above ground on
soil or on its food source. Like all fungi, mushrooms are not plants and do not undergo photosynthesis.
Typical mushrooms are the fruit bodies of members of the order Agaricales, whose type genus is Agaricus and type species is the field mushroom, Agaricus campestris. The fungal order ' Agaricales,'  also known as gilled
mushrooms for their distinctive gills , or euagarics, contains some of the most
familiar types of mushrooms. The order has 33 extant families, 413 genera, and over 13000 described species, along with five extinct
genera known only from the fossil record.
They range from the ubiquitous common mushroom to the deadly destroying angel
and the hallucinogenic fly agaric to the bio luminescent  jack-o-lantern mushroom.
An atypical mushroom is the lobster mushroom, which is a deformed, and some other  mushrooms are not gilled and then the term "mushroom" is loosely used.
There are approximately 14,000 described species of mushrooms.
The terms "mushroom" and "toadstool"
go back centuries, as the term "toadstool"
was often, applied to poisonous mushrooms
or to those that have the classic umbrella
like cap-and-stem form.
