What is Dessert.. Choose dessert that bring you joy…..

Dessert is a course that typically comes at the end
of a meal, usually consisting of sweet food.
The word comes from the French language as dessert 
and  it means  "to clear the table" and "to serve." . 
Have you ever wondered why there is never a chocolate
cake on the table during dinner? Have you ever seen a
plate of homemade cookies between the mashed potatoes
and the broccoli?  The reason is that dessert is special 
and it is always after dinner.
People should eat dessert first. Dessert is  the best meal 
of the day, and it should be considered a meal on its own. 
If everyone ate dessert first, meals would cost a lot less.
There are healthy ways to enjoy your favorite tastes when
it comes to desserts.
There are many dessert recipes that offer a low calorie
favorite rendition that will give you the pleasure of enjoying dessert. The most common desserts include cakes, cookies,
gelatin, pastries, ice cream, pie, and candies. Fruit may
also be eaten with the dessert.
A flan is a tart, a type of pie, with a base of shortcrust 
pastry. An example is a quiche. In both savory and sweet
flans the filling tends to be based on a thick custard.
There are flans that could be,  not based on custard,
such as the ' Bakewell tart'.
The  'Caramel custard '  is a custard dessert with a 
layer of soft caramel on top which is custard with a 
hard caramel top. The dish is eaten throughout the 
world.
Creme brulee also known as burnt cream, crema catalana,
or Trinity cream is a dessert which consist  of a rich custard base topped with a contrasting layer of hard caramel.
It is normally served cold. The custard base is traditionally flavored with vanilla, but is also sometimes flavored with
lemon or orange (zest), rosemary, chocolate, coffee,
liqueurs, or other fruit.
Pudding means a dessert, but may also refer to a savory
dish. In the United States, pudding characteristically 
denotes a sweet milk based dessert. Though it may also
refer to other types such as bread and rice pudding.
Custard tarts or flans patissier are a pastry consisting 
of an outer pastry crust filled with egg custard and baked.
Pastry is the name given to various kinds of baked products made from ingredients such as flour, sugar, milk, butter, shortening, baking powder and/or eggs. Small cakes, tarts
and other sweet baked products are called "pastries.".
Piping bag is a cone shaped bag that is used to make an 
even stream of dough, frosting, or flavored substance, to
form a structure, decorate a baked good, or fill a pastry
with a custard, cream, jelly, or other filling.
A doughnut is a fried dough food and is popular in 
many countries and prepared in various forms as a 
sweet or occasionally savory  snack that can be
homemade or purchased in bakeries, supermarkets,
food stalls.
A pie is a baked dish which is  made of a pastry 
dough and , it covers or completely contains
a filling of various sweet or savory ingredients.
Cake is a form of food, typically a sweet, baked 
dessert. Cakes normally contain a combination
of flour, sugar, eggs, and butter or oil, with some 
fruit purees, nuts or extracts are often added, ties
also .
A torte is a cake made with eggs, sugar, and ground
nuts instead of flour. Variations may include bread
crumbs and some flour.
Ice cream is a frozen dessert usually made from dairy
products, such as milk and cream, and often combined 
with fruits or other ingredients and flavors.
Most varieties contain sugar, although some are made
with other sweeteners.
Mithai means "sweet food" enjoyed by all.
 The Indian Desserts and sweets have always been an
integral part of Indian cuisine, with milk based desserts.
It would be worth remembering that most Indian sweets
aids  in digestion and are normally consumed after spicy
meals.
Many of them are made with fruit, nuts, spices and milk.
Coconut is natural ingredient for a sweet dish.
Indian desserts are  very often decorated with cardamom, raisins, almonds, pistachios, cashew nuts and fruits  such
as mangoes, guavas, pineapple, melon, cherries, oranges
and bananas.
India has a wide variety of Indian desserts. Indian desserts
can be divided into two categories. First category is milk
based and the second category of Indian dessert are
based on flour.  The  desserts may be North Indian or 
South Indian in origin, but they are known and loved
all over the world. Like the 'Shrikhand'  is strained
yogurt Indian dessert.
Shrikhand is served throughout India. 
The popular 'Rice pudding' is  called kheer is one
of the most popular of all desserts in India.
Some other  familiar favorites  are the Gulab jamum,
Carrot dessert also known as the Gajar halva, Rasgulla,
Kaju Barfi, Ladoo, Jalebis , which are worth a mention.
The ' Kulfi'  ice cream is a  popular flavored frozen
dessert that is made from milk and is served cold.
Dessert is a luxury, not a dish of sustenance, so it 
comes last and everyone loves a sweet treat . 
No wonder all love eating something sweet at the 
end of a meal.
