GREEK FOOD AND MEDITERRANEAN FOOD..

What is Greek food..
Greek cuisine is a Mediterranean cuisine, sharing characteristics with the cuisines
of Italy, the Balkans, Turkey, and the Levant.
Greek  cookery makes wide use of olive oil, vegetables herbs, grains , bread,
wine, fish, and various meats, including poultry, rabbit and pork.
Also important are olives, cheese, aubergine, courgette, and yoghurt.
Greek desserts are characterized by the dominant 
use of nuts and honey.
Some dishes use filo pastry.
Mediterranean cuisine is the food from the cultures 
adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea..
Fish dishes are also common to the Mediterranean
cuisine because of the fisheries of the Mediterranean Sea
Olive oil and garlic are widely used in Mediterranean cuisine.
