MOONG DAL STARTER
INGS: 1 Cup Yellow Moong Dal,
1 Onion cut,
1 Green Chilly cut,
Few Bread Slices,
1\8 Tsp Turmeric Powder,
1\2 Tsp Red Chilly Powder,
Some Green Chutney,
Oil to fry,
Salt to taste.
METHOD: Cut roundals from the bread slices.
Soak moong dal for 4-5 hours, then drain the water
and grind in a mixer jar with the green chilly, turmeric
powder, red chilly powder and salt to taste. Grind little
coarsely. Take this in a bowl, add cut onion, mix well.
Put oil to heat, on each bread round, first apply the green chutney and on it the moong dal paste as a thin layer.Put in oil to fry with bread side going in first then turn, fry until golden brown. Serve with chutney and tomato sauce.
