### VANILLA POD AND THE VANILLA ESSENCE..####

Vanilla is the most popular flavoring agent that is derived
from orchids of the ‘genus Vanilla’  native.
Vanilla is the second most expensive spice after saffron.
Vanilla grows as a vine that climbs  up any existing tree, pole, 
or any  other support.
These are a variety of vanilla from where it is produced.
Bourbon vanilla the Bourbon-Madagascar vanilla, West Indian vanilla, Mexican vanilla and the French vanilla.

Vanilla flavoring in food is done by adding the vanilla extract 
or by cooking vanilla pods in the liquid preparation.
A stronger aroma is got when the pods are split in two and is added to the liquid.  
The natural vanilla gives a brown or yellow color to the preparations. A major use of vanilla is done to flavoring the
ice creams. Vanilla is used by home bakers. .
Pure vanilla has a wonderful aromatic flavor and it is used 
in flavoring pastries, confections and other desserts.




Vanilla extract is made from vanilla beans that have been steeped in alcohol. It is a clear dark liquid with a rich flavor
and is highly aromatic.Vanilla essence is got by extracting  ‘oleoresin’ from the vanilla beans.
It's widely used throughout the world to flavor desserts, 
baked goods, ice cream, beverages, and custards, but some 
chefs use it as a secret ingredient in savory dishes as well.
