Recipe of ' Sev ' an Indian snack..

An Indian snack consisting of long, thin strands
of gram flour, deep-fried and spiced.
Sev, the Indian snack is thin string like fried
snack preparation made out of gram flour.
Used in the preparation of 'Sev puri' and
'Bhel Puri' or can be enjoyed just plain.
Nowadays there are many spicy and less spicy
varieties of 'sev' available in specialty Indian stores. 
Sev is the salty Indian snack that is can be eaten
as it is or added in other Indian snacks such as
Bhel puri, Sev puri and other chaat dishes.
This snack is a popular tea snack in India.
Sev is made from Bengal gram  flour which is
mixed with spices and  seasonings. Also mix 
Salt, spices and lime juice to give sev a tangy
flavor and make a dough. This dough is put into
the  sev making machine. From the  machine drop 
the thin strands of dough, which are then deep fried.  


Make tasty Sev at home.
ings:
2 cups Bengal gram flour ( Besan ),
1 tomato puree,  blanched, grind in the mixer
and strain it.
Also add salt, red chilly powder, pepper powder
and a pinch of soda.
Method:
Mix all the above ingredients to make a dough, 
using the tomato puree.
Grease your hands and grease the inner side
of the sev making machine.
Put a long piece of the dough into the greased machine.
Move your hands in circular motion to make rings of sev.
Cook for about a minute or two. Allow to fry in oil.
Keep flipping the sev rings till they are yellowish brown.
When Sev is ready. Store in a container.
