THE LEMON RICE


THE LEMON RICE
INGS:
3 Cups Boiled n Cooked Rice,
FOR THE TEMPERING
2-3 Tbsp Oil,
2 Tbsp Urad dal,
3-4 Tbsp Lemon juice,
1\8 Tsp Turmeric powder,
2 Tbsp Cashew nuts, fried,
Few pinches of Mustard seeds,
2-3 Curry leaves,
Salt to taste,
Coriander leaves n Few pieces of
cashew nuts for garnish.
METHOD
Boil the rice and allow to cool.
Put a pan to heat add the mustard seeds,
curry leaves, cashew nuts and urad dal,
stir for few seconds.
In a bowl take the lemon juice, turmeric
pd n salt, mix well.
Now add this to the above tempering,
also add the cooked rice, mix lightly.
Serve with a garnish of coriander leaves
and few fried cashew nut pieces.
This rice is enjoyed with sambar or rasam,

along with appalam.
