MOONG DAL CHILA WITH WATERMELON JUICE
Moong Dal Chila
Ingredients
2 Cup Moong dal, yellow, split,
2 Tbsp Bengal gram flour [ besan ],
1 Onion cut into thin slices,

A pinch Soda - bi - carb,
1-2 Green Chilly cut,
A piece Ginger cut into very small pieces,
2 tbsp Coriander leaves cut,
1\8 Tsp turmeric powder,
1\4 tsp Saunf| Fennel seeds,
Salt n Red Chilly powder to taste,
Oil to drizzle.
Method
Soak the moong dal for 4-5 hours.
Drain the water and put the dal with salt and
red chilly powder in a mixer jar.
Grind, now add the soda - bi - carb and the bengal
gram flour. Grind well.
Take this mixture out in a bowl n beat well.
Now add the cut green chillies, ginger, fennel seeds
and cut coriander leaves.
Put a non stick tava to heat.
Take a spoonful of the batter and spread on the tava like a pancake then drizzle some oil around it. Sprinkle some
cut onion slices on which salt n red chilly pd is already added.
Flip the side and drizzle some more oil, cook until looks crisp, crunchy and golden brown.
Serve hot with a green chutney and tomato sauce .
The watermelon juice is .....
Pieces of watermelon put in a mixer along with salt
and pepper powder to taste.
When done strain it n serve with a sprinkle of chaat
masala.
