Myrica rubra, the Red Bayberry . . .
Myrica rubra, also called yangmei literally, meaning "mountain peach", also known as Chinese Bayberry, Japanese Bayberry, Red Bayberry, Yumberry, Waxberry, or Chinese strawberry tree.
It is a small to medium-sized evergreen tree. The fruit is spherical in shape with a knobby surface. 

The surface color is typically a deep, brilliant red, but may vary from white to purple.
It is native to eastern Asia, mainly in China, where it has been grown for at least 2000 years. 

It is a fruit of China and a very attractive fruit.
The tree is used as ornaments for parks and streets.
