Why Eat The Lettuce....

Lettuce is a temperate annual or biennial plant of the daisy family. It is grown as a leaf vegetable. It is eaten cold, raw, in salads, sandwiches, hamburgers, tacos, and in many other dishes.
An edible plant that has green or purple leaves and the leaves of the lettuce plant are eaten as a vegetable. The green iceberg leaves have the best flavor and highest fiber.
Lettuce has two vitamins like vitamins C and A, Calcium, Potassium, Iron, Protein and full of fiber.



LETTUCE IS OF 3 TYPES THE ICEBERG, LEAF AND ROMAINE LETTUCE. ICE BERG LETTUCE HAS A SUBTLE
FLAVOR, LEAF LETTUCE HAS CRISP LEAVES HAVING FULL FLAVOR  AND THE ROMAINE LETTUCE HAS
DARK GREEN TO PALE LEAVES WITH SLIGHT BITTER TASTE. LETTUCE HAS 90% WATER AND IT IS LOW
IN CALORIE.
TIP EAT FRESH, RAW AND CRISP. STORE THE LETTUCE IN A MUSLIN CLOTH IN FRIDGE.
WASH THE LETTUCE BEFORE USE AND DAB IT DRY. TEAR THE LEAVES OF LETTUCE
