Khichiya Papad

 
Khichiya Papad are liked and eaten by large mass because its tasty n crunchy. Process of khichiya papad. 1 cup of rice flour n 1 ½ cups of water. Boil the water. Add all the masalas, like cumin seeds, ajwain seeds, sesame seeds, papad khar | soda bi carb, chilli paste n salt to the boiling water.
Allow to boil for some time. Also add the rice flour to boiling water. Stir well. Steam the dough by spreading the dough in a thali and then put the thali in a steamer.
Once steamed, when slightly warm, knead like a dough.
Take ball size of the dough, roll it, between two plastic sheets on which oil is applied. Put the rolled khichiya papad to dry in the sun on a cloth| bedsheet.
The mouth watering Gujarati style Khichu can be homemade n nutritious. Rice Khichu is made from rice flour, it is eaten hot, when it is soft. If it made from Jowar flour, it is ' Jowar Khichu '.
