also known as Pilaf. Pulao is generally cooked with high quality rice like Basmati rice cooked with variety of vegetables which gives it a unique taste and flavor.
Pilaf also known as pilau, peleau and plov is a dish in which rice is cooked in a seasoned broth. In some cases, the rice may also attain its brown color by being stirred with bits of cooked onion, as well as a large mix of spices. Depending on the local cuisine, it may also contain meat and vegetables.
In South Asia, pulao is a dish consisting of rice and commonly including peas, potatoes, french beans, carrots, mutton, beef, or chicken. It is usually served on special occasions and weddings.

How to cook rice where each grain is separate?
Rule 1 .. Do not wash or soak rice in hot water because chances of breaking the rice grains is possible.
Rule 2 ... Remember to soak rice for at least 20-30 minutes or more.
Rule 3 .. Wish to use the rice for pulao or biryani or any rice dish then make it ahead.
Rule 4 Generally to cook rice the ratio of 1 : 2 rice to water where water is double but in this case let water be slightly less.
Rule 5 When rice is cooked then carefully fluff with a fork with a light hand.
